In September, Kemtek Print Solutions hosted three comprehensive regional road shows in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban respectively.
Numerous industry players came to see the HP Indigo 5600 digital press being put through its paces, plus a host of specialised finishing technologies from Duplo.
‘The objective of each road show was to bring our specialist products to customers who would not ordinarily attend international trade events such as drupa or IPEX,’ comments Gavin van Rensburg, Group MD. ‘Visitors were genuinely impressed with the features and speed of the HP Indigo 5600 digital press, particularly the seven-colour support, one shot printing, variable data and security ink printing, as well as the ease of use of the Duplo equipment. Particular highlights included the quality and finish of the Duplo 145 coater and the binding strength of the FKS4000 PUR Binder.’ he adds. ‘Focus events such as these provide us with the ideal opportunity to spend quality time with our customers in their respective territories and provide hands-on advice and demonstrations without distraction.’
Also lending her support to Kemtek’s expert local team was Sarah Libi, marketing co-ordinator for Dscoop (Digital Solutions Cooperative) – HP Israel.
Founded in 2005, Dscoop is an independent global community of graphic arts business owners and technical professionals who use HP Indigo and inkjet equipment and related solutions. The core focus of this unique community is on educating and connecting printing professionals with each other and with HP to improve members’ business growth, efficiency and profitability.
‘By joining Dscoop, printers can access a host of services and discussions related directly to their daily business challenges and requirements such as educational seminars and discussions and information and advice from a diverse community of HP subject matter experts, industry partners and other selected thought leaders,’ states Sarah. ‘Dscoop perfectly complements the expert service provided locally by Kemtek Print Solutions’
The Kemtek team will be bringing more expert advice and advanced technologies to the regions when it hosts another round of road shows during 2014. Dates will be confirmed early next year.
