The press prints four million colour pages per month with high profitability. Using the Enhanced Productivity Mode, throughput increases by 33% to 160 colour ppm, increasing volume significantly. Hardware and software advancements and new supplies improve robustness and the new intelligent automation maximises uptime.
ENHANCED VISION SYSTEM
Intelligent automation, powered by an enhanced Vision System performs automatic hands-free press calibrations and diagnostics with high accuracy, reducing operator effort, saving time, and diminishing errors. The Automatic Alert Agent identifies inconsistencies between the digital file and the printed sheet. This automated early detection system helps identify quality problems during printing, preventing imperfect sheets from reaching the end customer.
SPECIAL PRINT EFFECTS
The new special effect capabilities—including raised print and textured effects—expand opportunities to deliver high-value applications. Compatible with more than 2500 substrates, the press enables PSPs to offer unique jobs using dark, transparent, metallic, and recycled papers, and paperboard for folding cartons.
Enabled by HP Indigo’s liquid ElectroInk technology and unique digital offset process, HP Indigo prints are of the highest quality. They match or even exceed offset, allowing them to be used interchangeably.ElectroInk has the widest digital colour gamut, including special effect inks, using up to seven ink stations on press.
A set of new-generation supplies, including the Imaging Oil System, Photo Imaging Plate (PIP), blanket, and Binary Ink Developer (BID), improves print quality, performance, and lifespan, extending time between replacements and reducing waste by 20% for more sustainable printing.
The press also has a powerful print server—the scalable HP SmartStream Production Pro version 4.6 is the most powerful DFE in the industry, with a single point of control capable of driving multiple presses.
Most of the innovations in the press are upgradable options for HP Indigo 7000 and 7500 digital presses.
Certified with the Intertek Green Leaf Mark, it is also the first HP Indigo press whose carbon manufacturing footprint has been fully offset.
CASE STUDY: REMATA
AS PRINTERS, WE ALWAYS STRIVE TO
MAXIMISE OUR TIME...
Johannesburg-based company Remata purchased the HP Indigo 7600 press from Kemtek Print Solutions six weeks ago. Remata has a longstanding relationship with Kemtek and has invested in HP Indigo technology since Series 1.
Remata was established in 1970, and later staked its claim as an industry leader in 1987 with the launch of the first desktop publishing bureau in South Africa. The company remains one of the foremost print and cross media solutions providers in South Africa.
'Kemtek and Remata have a 15 year relationship and Remata has been an integral partner since Series One of the HP Indigo presses. We see them as a strategic customer because we've helped them grow their digital equipment offerings, which have all been supplied by Kemtek,' said Wendy McLoughlin, HP Application Support and Training Specialist at Kemtek.
'The HP 7600 offers Remata greater capacity as it boasts double the speed of the previous press and more applications and special effects made possible with white ink. You can do digital embossing on the press and raised images, because of the raised ink effects.'
Esmé Bense, director at Remata, said, 'As printers, we always strive to maximise our time and try to get jobs in and out as quickly as possible. The HP 7600 offers us double the speed so we can dramatically increase turnaround times. We're also excited about the White ink offering which adds another dimension to traditional digital printing.
Its exciting that suppliers like HP have realised the need to reduce costs and increase speeds, and the new three colour printing mode does just that. It is clear that digital print suppliers will continue to add more features and enhancements to print to ensure the future of print. Print indeed has an exciting future and partnerships with key visionary suppliers are vital.'
'Kemtek has been outstanding during this entire process. Our relationship with them has grown and they fully understand our business. We appreciate their support, helpfulness and generosity,' added Bense. www.remata.co.za
