Kemtek, Fujifilm SA partnership goes public!
Thursday, 27th November 2014

On October 1st, Kemtek celebrated the official launch of its partnership with Fujifilm SA by co-hosting a special customer open house at Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand.

More than 250 print professionals attended the two-day event, which included special training seminars and live demonstrations on several advanced prepress and printing technologies. ‘Whether it’s enhancing the quality and efficiency of plate production and printing or improving job throughput with a highly advanced workflow system, we can compete more effectively to improve any printing operation, large or small,’ commented Ryosuke Miki, MD, Fujifilm SA during his welcome address on the first day.

The expert Kemtek and Fujifilm team put the popular Luxel Series thermal and violet B1 and B2 platesetters through their paces, including the Luxel VMAX, the fastest newspaper CTP system in the world. All products on show highlighted Fujifilm’s advanced ‘lo-chem’ Brillia range of photopolymer and thermal commercial printing plates.

Drawing significant visitor attention was Fujifilm’s most advanced processless printing plate, the Brillia HD PRO-T3.  Incorporating three high performance technologies – Multigrain V (MGV) micrograining; a novel multi-layer coating with advanced Fine Particle Dispersion (FPD); and Rapid Stable Start-Up (RSS) that fast tracks the removal of the plate coating – it raises the bar in terms of quality and productivity, allowing wider imaging and latitudes that assist in achieving an unbeatable 1–99% resolution, 20μm FM screening and 100 000 run lengths.

‘By removing all aspects of processing, the third-generation FujifilmBrillia HD PRO-T3 plate also facilitates a reduction in overall carbon footprint and, subsequently, environmental impact,’ commented Sean Lane (Fujifilm UK product manager offset solutions), who accompanied the Kemtek team in demonstrating prepress systems to open house visitors. ‘It’s the ultimate environmental plate!’
The full Brillia range, available from Kemtek nationwide, includes both thermal and violet-sensitive plates, in processed and processless variants, all of which deliver the same premium grade benefits.

Sean Lane, Fujifilm UK product manager offset solutions, demonstrated the benefits of using the Luxel T-6300CTP S and Fujifilm Brillia plates.
