Thursday, 27th November 2014

SOUTH AFRICA’S flexographic printing elite gathered at the stylish Radisson Gautrain, Johannesburg, to celebrate the 17th annual FTASA (Flexographic Technical Association of South Africa) Print Excellence Awards, a keenly anticipated event that consistently contributes to raising standards and show casing advances in flexographic printing. As judging panel chairman, Bill Marshall, comments: ‘These annual awards demonstrate that flexography competes in quality terms with any other printing method, and that South Africa compares favourably with worldwide achievements.
’For the first time, the Best on Show accolade was split into three classes, depending on entries printed using solvent inks, UV inks or water-based inks, with top honours respectively going to ITB Manufacturing, New Era Labels and Golden Era. The judges declared these three winning entries to be ‘magnificent examples of what can be achieved by South Africa’s flexographic printingf raternity’.
